This place a true gem, but it apparently wasn’t always the case. The current owners were done with the 80’s vibe in this mock Georgian home to the point of getting rid of it entirely and building something new from the ground up. Melbourne based architects Kathryn Robson and Chris Rak from the firm RobsonRak proposed to keep the bones instead and to modernise the house entirely. And the result is stunning!
The interior is bright and luminous. We’re loving the steel framed pivot doors in the living room – Such a fantastic feature! The restrained palette of colours and materials creates an harmonious flow from room to room. The style is minimal, but with character. The place oozes with sophistication.
RobsonRak did a terrific job at styling the interior, too. They picked exclusive pieces like a stunning Lacanche range, Stools from Mater, a Sofa by Patricia Urquiola, IC table lamp from Flos, Muuto Cover chairs, etc. Gorgeous chandeliers by Michel Anastassiades can be found in both the dining room and the office. Interesting sculptures and artwork complete the look.
Oh how we wish our home looked like this, too…!
