Clean lines in monochromatic Stockholm apartment

Happy Friday!

Its been a fun but long week with lots of late nights working for me, so I am really happy to see the weekend in close sights! A good reason to post this calming Stockholm apartment on the blog today.

Clean lines, a simple monochromatic palette and those perfectly ashy off white walls. A serene space and to me so very Scandinavian - the muted tones very much a part of daily life over there.

I also love the white painted timber floors , but know it is not maintenance free!

Enjoy & Happy weekend! | Jess

Although I am officially back at work this week - I cannot help but wanting to extend the relaxed, holiday feeling a little bit longer. What better feature on the first post of the year 2017, than Byron Beach Abodes, a collection of luxury holiday properties located in the famous coastal beach town of Byron Bay.

Stunning interiors with a relaxed vibe teamed with breezy outdoor spaces, make for the perfect spaces to extend the summer vibe. All houses have a slightly different look, all perfectly styled with a personal touch, and situated amongst lush gardens. Wishing I was there with a few more weeks of holidays left!

Check out Byron Beach Abodes for more information.

A few weeks ago I attended the Bathe by IN BED exhibition, a collaboration between photographer Terence Chin and homeware brand IN BED on the art of bathing.

Timed with the launch of IN BED's new collection of 100% organic cotton towels, they travelled to Japan - the home of ONSEN to capture the essence of the Japanese bathing rituals, the inspiration behind the new range.

The result is a stunning collection of moody photographs that beautifully encapsulate this 1,300 year old tradition, that evoke a sense of calm, peace and reflection.

In addition to the apparent beauty of the photographs and its settings, the message of taking the time to live slow, being present and taking care in everyday activities that really resonates with me.

Terence Chin has through these images captured a view into a world of natural greatness yet simplicity. Amidst cascading waterfalls, trickling rock pools and cedar baths - there is a closeness to the subject where you can almost feel the water beading on your skin when viewing the photographs.

With an impressive portfolio of works which span across architecture, interiors, fashion and lifestyle - Terence is an accomplished photographer who's work I admire greatly. Check out his full portfolio here

These beautiful prints are available to order through INBED Collection.

ps make sure to check out INBED's amazing range of bed linen, sleep wear and home wear. A perfect Christmas gift for a loved one or yourself:)

Enjoy | Jess
